Camaro owners wave?
When passing a fellow 5th Generation Camaro owner on the road do you wave to them?

I do! But then again, I wave or give a thumb up to anyone who drives a nice car.

If they're looking, just like when I pass a classic while out in the Velles...well except Vette guys....they're special.

Heck the other night I was driving on a two lane road and I noticed one behind me in the other lane about 150 ft and a slowed down until the guy got beside me, rolled down my passenger side window and waved at him. He had a huge smile on his face but I don't think his girlfriend was very happy oops!
Was that wrong to do??? |

Yep! I do. Though I've only seen one other one on the road (outside of the trip to Oshawa)
Any of the big 3 I'll wave and/or flash lights. Mustang drivers usually seem more...mmm...unaware. Its "just a car" to them. |

I do - but still don't see many on the road yet. It never gets old, though, I still get excited when I see one.

It's crazy that since I got my Camaro (although I've only driven it a handful of times since Oct. 5), I have only seen 2 others on the road, but scores before that. 've seen more Challengers than Camaros. I haven't been close enough to wave! Although a guy in a dark metallic blue 69 Chevelle SS let me out of a cramped Target parking lot Sunday gave him the nod.

I've only seen a few on the road while actually driving my Camaro..
None of them were very "friendly" nor seemed to share the enthusiasm I had in seeing another Camaro. The one I actually pulled up next to, with my window down... had their window down too but seemed too busy being cool to socialize & completely ignored me. lol A lot of NON camaro owners wave, or thumbs up or stare or come talk to me all the time. (or follow me or almost cause accidents) Actually, I gotta say even the older gen Camaro's I drive by give the cold shoulder with the exception of ONE first gen driver. Theres a ton of 3rd / 4th gens around all the time and none have been friendly so far. Too much road rage and "cool-guy" syndrome on the road these days. Everyones more concerned with looking good and getting to the next red-light first! |
