Arrow DO "NOTHING" WHEN YOU SEE A COP!!

So I'm driving to go save a company from computer melt down today, and I come to a line up of cars. I notice a cop stopping and checking everyone's drivers license, front and back plates etc etc.

My license is in my pocket but Im too restricted to get it out so I undo my seat belt to freely get to my wallet. In that time the cop comes up and says "Im checking for people NOT wearing seat belt."

DOHH!!!!!!

Well you can imagine I felt a complete **** about doing that and explaining why I had just undone my belt etc etc.

He bought it in the end!!

Always leave your seat belt connected. It's very good that you didn't get a ticket.

Never do anything until instructed to do so. if they see you moving around in your car they may take it as suspicious activity

When I get stopped I always turn my engine and the radio off, roll down the window before the officer gets over to the car and I always, always have my wallet handy. This and common curtesy has kept me out trouble with the law and even got me out of a minor infraction.

lol...I don't search for my wallet till I get to them lol. Usually those are the nice cops that do those stops. I've been through plenty in my area. But they check for buzzed and drunk people here

I've had that same situation before. Thinking I was making things easier and somehow got called out for not wearing a seatbelt, and I'm a stickler for seatbelts. I also eventually convinced him since it was the only thing I was arguing against (among the many infractions I was recieving...non-moving violations in Virginia are easy to rack-up in a hurry on a modified car!).
