Just got my stripes painted - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Hey guys and gals,

Been lurking here for quite some time. Picked up my 2SS Sept 30th and I have to say that this forum has been a wealth of information....made the 41/2 month wait just a tad bit easier!!

Made a few mods...Magnaflow axle back, Tint (5% rear 35% front),Diablo tuner, 2 12 inch subs, some minor interior additions and just recently had custom stripes painted on. Black stripes with a touch of silver pearl mixed in. Also had a razor thin red pin stripe applied where the black meets the SIM. I absolutley love how it turned out!! Really sets off the red SS badges. Not sure how the pics will turn out....I know there are alot of people banging their heads trying to figure out if the should paint their stripes or go with the decals. Hope this helps a little. Tell me what you think. Overall paint cost was around $1000.

Thanks tjd....wanted to keep it subtle. The man that pinned it was 63 years old. It was amazing watching him do this. Defintley an art.

i think that looks fantastic!!! i'm not a fan of the hockey stripes, but that looks awesome!! one question, are your side gills painted or are those decals?

gills are painted....took him longer to tape those off than it did anything else, besides the wet sand off course. And thanks!!!

Very Nice... really like the Camaro put on the rear. The red pinstriping is a perfect touch... who thought of it?

My idea.....had plenty of time to make my final decision (just under 5 months). Always makes you nervous when they start flinging paint around! Thankfully I am very pleased with the results. Thanks

that looks fantastic, I like the little touch with the red stripe. Its great attention to detail. That just looks great.

wth did my post go....i posted something here and its missing so ill say it again, great job and really like the red pinstriping, if you have pics of your subs in the trunk, can you post them please?
