Front Bumper Cover Repaint Cost

Anyone know about what Id be looking at to get the from bumper cover repainted? It has so many rock chips its insane and on top of that, while washing today, a huge area of clear let go. Tried to fix that with the touch up and just made it worse.

Depending on color, prep work needing done $600-$1200.

I’m debating have mine redone. But it think it’s cheaper to buy a primed aftermarket and have a local shops paint it.

I was quoted $800 to paint the front bumper with the GFX splitter on it.

Called one place yesterday and they told me $400. The shop has great reviews but it makes me wonder what kind of work is really done if you guys are saying it would cost more than that. Guy told me he bagged the rear of the car so no overspray etc.

I paid 400 to have the holes filled and repainted. Anything over 500 is gouging.

And my place removed the bumper to prevent dry edges.

I was looking to get mine done last year, but procrastinated and didn't do it, and it was only going to cost me 350 at my shop, and that was removing it too. Now my friend doesn't work there anymore and the new guy wants 600 and I can't find my old guy. lol

I guess this is what happens when we procrastinate lol. Sucks that you cant find it for $350 now though. I think this will be my Xmas present this year. I cant handle how bad it looks. The same guy said he would repaint the roof rails for $100.

I mainly need the front and the rails. There is a few blemishes here or there but I can live with some. Not much of a choice really unless I wanted to fix it all then not drive. We all know thats not going to happen lol.

You can probably talk a shop into throwing in the roof rails with the bumper. Negotiate the bumper price first, go home, call back and ask " can you throw in the roof moldings on that price too?" Most of the time, a shop will do it as they know word of mouth can make or break their rep.

Yep, I didn't think about that either. Gonna do 1 bumper at a time, the front for sure because it has seen soooooo much trash thrown at it over the years, 117k miles. Rock chips galore!! I try to stay away from everyone on the road, but you can't always do that. Thanks Banana for the tip. lol
