With as many people who looked at my car while I was trying to buy it I am very glad they didn't give test drives or my car would have had severl hundered miles on instead of the 7 I bought it with.

Thumbs down Lake Country Chevrolet in Muskogee, OK

Lake Country Chevrolet Cadillac
144 W Shawnee St
MUSKOGEE, OK 74401

…Has lost their ever lovin’ minds. Here is a copy of the email that David Patuto just sent me. I am stunned and should be insulted. All I can say is WTF? $12500 over MSRP! He might as well with that pricing at delivery.

“Jeff,

Thanks for giving Lake Country Chevrolet/Cadillac the opportunity to earn your business. As you are well aware, the 2010 Chevrolet
Camaro is the hottest car on the market today. With limited availability and demand being as high as it is for this car, we are not honoring
supplier pricing on the Camaro's. However, we can place an order for one for you. It usually takes 6-8 weeks to get it here. We are currently
asking $12,500 over sticker for the Camaro's, however, if you order one, it will only be $8,500 over. There is also a $3,000 non-refundable security deposit require when you place your order.

Let me know when you will be available to come into the showroom to sit down with my manager to build your 2010 Chevrolet Camaro?

Thank you,

David Patuto

I'm out.

I ordered my new Camaro from Classic Chevrolet in Grapevine, TX from Lance Turner and I have to say, he has been great. I have changed my order 3 times and he made the changes for me with no complaints. They are selling at sticker price and only a $500 REFUNDABLE deposit. I have seen and heard other dealers charging $1000 NON-refundable deposit and selling over $4000 over sticker. Lakeside Chevrolet in Rockwall, TX has a 2LT on the showroom floor with the only thing aftermarket is the stripes (which they did in house) and they marked it up $5000 over sticker. What a croc. If you haven't ordered one and you live in the DFW area, call Lance Turner at Classic Chevrolet in Grapevine, TX.

The supplier discount denial is bullshit. My dealer is saving me $1100 bucks on my discount and I live in the Motor City.

Perhaps because I actually work in the auto industry that this is actually granted to me through my company supplier code.

Just a question; how many people who work in the industry received the supplier discount or was denied?

Just called a Local Dealer and they want $1000 over MSRP.

Galleria Chevrolet Cadillac

Poughkeepsie New York

That sucks and I won't pay $1000 over MSRP

I just called Healey Chevy in Beacon N.Y. and they will do orders for MSRP. Yay

He's looking around now to see what he can find and then he'll call me back and either offer me something or take my order.

Should I ?

credit union will not help

Credit unions only help to negotiate on negotiable autos. The dealers sell them for whatever they want. The Chevy dealer where I bought mine was asking $8,000 over MSRP including a price line of $5,000 for "market adjustment" The Camaro is not a negotiable auto. I belong to a credit union too and they have no control over the camaro price except they can sell you "gap" insurance for like $200 instead of the dealers $800. Same thing goes for warehouse clubs, they claim they get you a "special" price but that "special" price is the same you can get just by going in and asking for it. The Dealers only have a couple camaros onhand if even that, so if they get "one" they mark it up way over the MSRP. High end special purchase cars usually have no incentives or rebates. GM gets all this "bailout" money but doesn't solve it's problem of having unions in the factories and overpaying its workers. No one should get $40 an hour to put a glove box on a car. GM needs to jumpstart its company and being contolled by Obama government, the dealers should not be able to rip people off. It is out tax money they are already getting. Just think, without Unions and this healthcare problem, you could of gotten a Camaro SS for about $23,000.

Anyone paying more than MSRP is a FOOL! The dealers tried to ride this pony for all it's worth but the "rush" is over. There are more Camaros at dealers than buyers and stock will just increase every day. I bet within 70 miles of Chicago there are at least 50 cars sitting in lots. One dealer near me has 3 and another 3 miles away has at least 2. 6 months from now, or less, they will be giving them away. Many dealers are not getting their contracts renewed with GM and they will be gone before long.

Hi everyone! im a from Puerto Rico.
just so you guys know over here its mind blowing the way the pricing of the camaro is. for the 2lt its 45k and for the ss it 67k check out the link from a clasified ad over here. http://www.clasificadosonline.com/UD...nuncio=1245649
i know we have to pay when the car arrive here taxes but its about 4 to 6k and for shipping its about a 5 to 800$ so its like 49k for the ss2 and about 39k for the 2lt.
this sucks big time. i really want the car but cant pay for it so i will have to have fun watching it on videos and on the internet. :0(

While waiting for my SS to be built, I checked with a dealer "Capitol Chevrolet - Salem, OR" I submitted an e-mail and got this reply.
