Not to steal any ideas, thought about making these. My dads a machinist, him and I talked about making these. One of his friends actually has his own machine shop so could have him make them. Estimated load and cut time 1 minute. The biggest problem is cost. Not sure how much the emblem is from gm thought about buying 100 of them...but, bowtie delete peice seems expensive at $40, plus paint. If I have enough interest I could spend the money. The other problem is making a jig so that the part does not move around while getting cut. Could take some thinking.

Never thought about the rear, that may be a bit easier to do.

I used Rust-oleum paint for plastic that they sell at autozone. It matched fairly well I think.

Yea the delete is a pain in the ass. I honestly can't believe that piece is $40.

Now that I think of it, I'm fairly sure I've seen GM colors in aerosol form before. Since they've had Victory red for years, I'm sure if its made that would for sure sell that one.

Click on your color, and in the drop down menu, select the aerosol spray can. I used their paint on my CGM for the taillight bezels and it matched up. I also bought their high-gloss clear.

I've thought about water jetting the centers out, but again it would take some thought to make a fixture... I can't find the normal bowtie's listed, but the ZL1 bowtie is about $40 bucks. Have to check with the stealer ship to get a price on the normal bowties.

The Moms are taking a nap, so started on my flowtie. Used my air dremmel, now for a little sanding, primer and paint. Think I am going SW to match. Then I need to figure out how to mount it on my heritage grill. Will post pic later.
