Custom pipe from cats to axle back?

I have an MRT axle back exhaust. I'm not going to do headers yet, but I was wondering if it would be beneficial to have the pipe from the cats to the axleback replaced with 2.5in pipe? I have a custom muffler shop by me that does stuff like that and it's a very fair price. Just curious if I should even waste my time with this..

Ok thanks scrming. That's what I thought, performance numbers probably wouldn't change hardly at all, and I would think sound would change, but just a little bit.

It will really make the car sound a lot better.

From 80-450 dollars

Some companies will have H pipes others with X, and others with true X pipes. Depends on the quality of the product.

We are doing ours Weds!!!

What's best for the Camaro, and H or X? I would assume X?

There is no right answer. Xpipe should mellow out the sound some and make the car less poppy if the center of the X flows into the other pipe.
