MBRP Muffler cores--what design?

I'm considering the MBRP cat back 3" system with rectangular tips, but I would like to see a cutaway pic of their muffler cores. Does anyone know what kind of technology they use? I'm really sold on the 304 stainless and the X-pipe, only the muffler core construction is holding me back. They claim 20 H.P. increase, and if true, it would imply something is going on in those mufflers.

Their mufflers LOOK really good from the outside, but inside....?

I am intrigued by the Borla technology with all those different size tubes and holes, but wonder if it may be nothing more than snake oil.

What do you think?

Leave the exhaust , cam and headers instead adds noise and 100hp .

Heck, why pay that much money for 100 hp. I can get that by installing a locking gas cap and some stripes.

Any of the HONEST vendors will tell you that there's not 20 hp to be found in a catback. The stock exhaust is 2.5in and the mufflers are straight through. 2.5in is MORE than enough for the HP of this car and then some. The main place to get any gains is swapping out the H-pipe and resonators for a X-pipe. Even with that, you're only talking a few HP.

Agreed. Even my stuff advertises a gain, but it's more about the sound. I'm absolutely sure it adds some low end power as it's less restrictive than the OEM catback, but as far as 20 goes....I'll go with Axis on this one.

Lemme know if you have more questions about MBRP. I carry them as well.

Thanks,
Ivan
