If ZL1 sweeps this one, it'll be the second "World" award it's won!

To be a finalist is impressive as it is!

Hmmm, wonder how the ZL1 can be considered as a "World Performance Car" when no one knows exactly how it will perform? Even though Motor Trend and several other/s brief tests show it beating the Boss 302, it surely couldn't have been based on that outcome. Motor Trend doesn't pick the "best car" anywhere just because it's the fastest (see it's rating of the Z06 in the "Best Driver's Car" consideration)...it came in 6th behind a Boss 302. The GT500 is also a finalist...this should be interesting. Maybe GM gave them a car to evaluate????

I don't think the lower cars are finalists. I believe they are all "Eligible Cars" for the award, denoting the finalists in the gray area. I think...Usually you don't see an award with 19 finalists...and I believe the last World Car award (interiors) only had 10 finalists.

Nevertheless - Everyone knows enough about it at this point to issue the award. Organizations like this don't wait for customer seat-time...

I think the ZL1 is the least expensive car on the finalist list. It is certainly being compared with some very expensive and distinguished competitors.

I think the Aventador will win. It's an amazing car. It is nice for the ZL1 to be on the list though, best performance per $.

I wondered about the bottom list. I think I've read enough about the ZL1 to say it's a dynamite package and future testing and comparisons will prove it's value. I think it's Nurburgring times show it can hold it's own against some pretty expensive "machinery". It would be awesome if it wins this award!!! Fingers Xed.
