Name tags for meet ups

There have been a few members that have requested name tags when we attend meets, since our C5 or NY5thgen user ID's are generally not our actual name. I thought about this, and to get sticker name tags / labels will probably cost alot since they will just be one time use. I was playing around tonight with a small piece of lexan (plastic) and created a prototype, but I'm not sure I like it (excuse my freehand / chicken-scratch).

I have another idea in mind, but I was curious, how many people would honestly be interested in wearing a name tag???

If anyone has any other ideas, please share as well.

The only problem with that is we don't usually stay with our cars the whole time...we walk around so we still wouldn't know who the person is....
At FBF in March, there were almost 100 cars and a lot of people, and we didn't know who most of them were, or even if they were Camaro owners...

Nice, Kendall...

I think I would wear a name tag to every meet, because we never know when new people will get their Camaros and come to the next meet...
We should also have the color of the car on the name tag too, IMHO...

Our club's population will continue to grow as more camaros are produced

I thought about the car color thing, I have a black car, so I actually painted the lexan (plastic) black (for the demo), I could probably paint the others too. I just don't know how many would be needed?

The alternative would be getting some of these? But once again, we don't know how many?

I've been trying to come up with some idea too. We have a meet coming up and thought about making something that could be placed on the window, but I agree with Donna, you really need something to wear such as a name tag. I know there are extremly creative people in here, hope somebody comes up with a good idea!

Ok - perhaps overdone - some of us with the Choko Camaro aviator leather jacket got leather name tags embossed with our member names from http://www.acejackets.com/Custom_Lea...s_p/le02-2.htm $19.99 gets you two (2) and comes with the hook side of velcro - you can get the looped side of velcro at a craft's store with doubled-sided tape...

Here's a pic of my jacket with the leather name tag (velcroed on a plastic sleeve, not the jacket) along with a Camaro aviator wings found on eBay (wings have a magnet on the back to take on and off as well).

Yes, some of us including me have way too much time on our hands to find stuff like this let alone buy it...

First off , nice jacket.

Second, I'm not sure I'd want to wear that jacket in the summertime at a meet, it would be pretty warm. And more importantly, if everyone got the same jacket it wouldn't be original for the few that do have it. I do like the name patch though

Thanks - I wasn't suggesting wearing the jacket in the summer, more of a Spring/Fall/Winter thing - the leather name patch is velcroed on a plastic pocket protector to go in the jacket pocket. You could get the leather patch for any jacket or shirt and do the same thing or attach a magnet to the back and use that.

Thanks Donna - understood - unsure about 4/18 - I'll let you know if I'm going...

Just write it on your forehead with a sSharpie, that'll save some money in these tough times.

P.S., Tom - that's mighty hardcore of you!
