I understand that the kit is set under 8PSI.. so its at 7PSI.... How much PSI can u increase the boost to so that gives more HP but is still safe ?

are you speaking of the Turbonetics kit?
actually i believe that their test pulls on their video might be 8-9lbs

when we installed my kit, the techs at Turbonetics told us we could go 8lbs no problem maybe 9 without any issues, but it was my moooola$$$$$$$$$ and for the street as a DD 7 is enough in my opinion

You not going to be able to make big power out of the box without running into alot of back pressure.

I was hoping to find some one with a built motor pushing the psi up.

Your not going to with the turbo that comes with it. Good turbo for a 600 Rwhp street car but a little small for a 376 inch motor to run alot of boost. I would imagine with the smaller turbine wheel it wouldn't make much over 10 psi on a ls3.

I have the Turbonetics kit running 11 psi no problem. Do have some internal work done thought.

who is doing the install?

are you beefing up the fuel pump?

my advice also is to get a custom tune for the car!!!!!

like i mentioned earlier i drive my every day, it behaves like a stock car until i get heavy with the right foot, and at 7lbs it is an animal on the street!!!!

good luck!

I am blushing after reading this thread. lol. Thanks guys! To answer your question though I think that turbonetics kit is going to be maxed out at around 800-850 if you run E85, big fuel system and supporting mods on your engine (head studs, ls9 gaskets, turbo cam)

Do you think the kit could go any further with a bigger turbo or would the piping size be the downfall?

I'm very Very surprise that the one guy made 715 with the kit on a mustang dyno. Surely it had some upgrades like a bigger down pipe atleast. Like I said I don't see this kit making much more than 10 psi with that smaller turbo I don't believe it would get close to 800 hp. At 715 the back pressure is prob through the roof. Upgrade the turbo and bigger down pipe when you buy it and your golden with some free flowing exhaust.

I think you missed the part where I said "internal motor work also".
