Magnaflow Street Series or Competition Series
Although this SS has a pretty good exhaust note for a stock car I'd like to beef up the sound some. I'm looking for a more aggressive sound but light on the interior drone. I'm leaning towards the Magnaflow Cat Back 2.5 System but I'm not sure which series to go with. Any input would be appreciated, thx

What type of shound are you looking for? are you looking for a deep throaty sound or a higher pitch sound like a ricer?

Magnaflow Street Catack is very quiet. It has a nice low tone to it, but its way too quiet all by itself.
If you also add Long tube headers, the Magaflow Steet sounds perfect (in my opinion). I love the way my car sounds with Kooks 1 7/8 headers and Magnaflow Street catback. But without longtubes, it would be way too quiet. So for anyone looking for an aggessive setup, the Magnaflow street isn't for you. |

I have long tube headers, high flow cats, and the Magnaflow 3" competition system. At idle and normal cruising the system is quiet but when you he the go pedal it comes alive. It is still a fairly quiet system all in all compared to other systems.

I have the SOLO PERFORMANCE MACH X. It has an amazing refined sound and will save you some $$$$. Awesome on the highway, like stock but with a slight purr.
The salesman's name and number are in the video. Look up the SOLO threads at all the positive comments............lot of happy customers out there!!

Excellent Feedback. More feedback like this from members that have done catback work on their cars. |

I did my own version of the Magnaflow Comp Series. Now, you don't have to go this route but at least you can hear some of what a resonated X-Pipe, resonator delete, and muffler delete system sounds like. This is basically what the SOLO and Magnaflow Comp Series are.
JDP Motorsports has the Magnaflow Comp Series for $662 shipped right now but there is going to be a price increase come Monday morning. Even then I think it's only going to be $700 shipped. If you're intrested in the Magnaflow products (any of them) you need to call JDP ASAP before the prices go up. I think someone on the forum just got the Magnaflow Street Series from them for like $800 shipped. I think either the Maganflow Comp Series or SOLO is a good choice. However...understand it's going to be bit louder if you add headers but you can always and more mufflers to either system if you do that. http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=64964

Thanks everyone. I think I am sold on the Solo Performance system. It sounds great.

As far as install. Is this something I can install in my garage, up on four jack stands? I have been building custom Harleys for years and I'm pretty mechanically inclined....Rich

I have the magnaflow street series axle back exhaust, and it pretty much sounds stock; a little deeper and louder when getting on it is about it.
