Thumbs up H-Town Camaro Club makes $7000 Donation to Kidz Harbor

Featured on Camaro5 Homepage

20+ Camaros made the trip to Liverpool Texas to present the check and tour the facility. Proceeds from our 2nd Annual Kemah Boardwalk Car Show made this all possible. Last year we donated $3,500 and this year we doubled it to $7,000 as the club continues to grow and we gain more sponsors. The kids really enjoyed seeing the cars, some of them we remembered from last year were leading the pack with lots of interesting questions this time around. One even asked where the ZL1 was… Next year we’ll have to bring one with us…

Once again Sharon Nelson (firstmate) chaired this event with help from a host of club members including our club President Jerry Johnson (Fleet1). Pictured presenting the check is our Treasurer Chris Harrell.

We started off with a nice buffet lunch in Pearland and then had a spirited cruise down to meet up with the kids. It was a very rewarding (tear jerking) day for all who attended. Our donation goes directly into on-going renovations for an all boys wing. Much progress had been made on this building since our last trip and many more donations like ours will be needed before it can be completed.

Thanks to all the Houston Area Camaros that participated in the show… In addition to all the car show fun we had at Kemah, this is what you supported!!!

The lunch lineup in Pearland...

Our donation would be spent on finishing renovations.

Thumbs up

Had a great time today and it's always rewarding when we can help kids out with financial support and, of course, they love to check out all the fine rides

Good show Mike.

Looks like fun. I've wanted to do the Kema thing. But alas. Too far for me.
