First Dyno results little Disappointed

As the title says went to get car Dynoed and was lil disappointed with the Dyno results. 393RWHP and 388RWTQ
List of mods i had done 3.91 gears, fast lane cold air intake, Jba mid pipes and muffler delete. I know long tubes were the best way to go but i had to have the gears.

Those numbers are nothing to be disappointed about. The gears won't show any gain on the dyno. The muffler delete doesn't do much either. So for an intake and mid pipes you're doing great power wise. Install an under drive pulley and you'll break 400!

There's a lot of debate here about losing power with the muffler delete. Some folks say you need the back pressure.

I think your numbers are good for the minor mods you've done. You won't pick up HP with gears, you'll just feel it differently.

Did you tune after your mods?

you are disappointed in 393 with basically just a CAI? the other stuff has been proven to make no HP gains at all.
so that means to get that out of a CAI is really good.
ill take that engine any day.

Your dead on if not a touch better than what I would expect on the average dyno. Im at 411/414 with intake/LTs/tune so there ya go.

Wait what , a straight through pipe makes more hp than a straight through pipe?

mufflers are not straight through.
and backpressure has been proven to be needed.
some open systems actually lose HP..
as Dumps did on the older stangs..

What is the back pressure needed for, and how much older of a stang? I cordially disagree with you here sir.

BTW I like your numbers. You've got the same intake as I do, and it's a beast. I'm gonna get my setup tuned here pretty soon.

Cam design mainly on the overlap and exhaust lobe profile depend on a given amount of back pressure. Street cams and race cams alike are profiled accordingly.

Not bad at all. I dynoed 409/411 with lt/cai/catback and hi flos. Recently did the rear suspension and 3.91's. Gear's by far the best mod hands down. Mine was also tuned. Kinda low on the base dyno with only 355 hp. But i pick up 55 hp so maybe my dyno is just low

Mdub76 what rear suspension upgrades did you do. I was looking into some rear control arms and bushings but i hate spending money on stuff that i really don't need
