Talking LG headers with SLP loudmouth exhaust

I need advice on this subject. I love the LG Headers that are out right now, Especially with the new fire cone the put into it. But i do have a slight problem with the sound, to me it does not scream enough for me. So would it be wise to put the lg headers with the slp loudmouth which sounds oustanding in my opion or should i stay with a complete setup of lg headers and mufflers or the slp headers and exhaust. Does having them mixed give you mixed horse power gains or sound? Your advice would be greatly appreciated.

If you're looking at loudmouth I's, since they're basically straight pipes, it'll be ungodly loud with the headers. I love the sound of straight pipes on the Camaro, but with headers it's too much. A few that sound amazing with headers IMO...Borla S-Type, Corsa, maybe even try the Loudmouth II! I actually love the way they sound with headers I know Stainless Works makes some amazing sounding combos.

Honestly man, LM1 is just a glorified muffler delete. My L99 with muff delete, sitting right next to becka's L99 with LM1, and the sound was almost identical. Save your money, and just do a delete if you want that extra roar. But be prepared- that bitch is gonna be LOUD...

IMO, have a look into LM2. Similar sound, and really bellows at WOT. But might prevent you from getting noise disruption tickets

I had asked an exhaust question last week and was directed to look into the Solo Performance. Right now I am looking at teh Mach XL with J Pipes and a Highflo cat. The car sounds amazing when you get on the throttle and has no drone when cruising.

Thank you for yalls advice. I dont plan on getting the headers right now, but i do plan on getting them maybe by the end of the year. But i found a good price on the slp loudmouth 1 exhaust. Im tired of my car not having that rumble. LOL

Look at Kooks. They've been around since 1964. They build most of the NASCAR headers and quality is awesome.

I have SlP LM1 on my l99, and i absolutely love it! it makes my adrenaline run, imo i would get headers and keep that rumble going. I live about 35 miles from LG and have a friend that took his l99 to them, he got headers full exhaust cam and tune. now hes pushing 485rwhp. LG & LM1!!

WOW!! Thats exactly the setup that i want with my L99. I was not for sure if the headers from the LG would fit with the slp exhaust, but you just answered that question. Without a doubt I will be getting headers, figured i get the loudmouth for now since it was cheaper, than get the headers next.

I'd go with the Kooks 1 7/8, hi flow cats and SLP Loudmouth II axle back. No drone with this setup.

Our headers can be ordered without the mufflers and should accept any aftermarket muffler kit on the market using the 3 to 2.5" adapter piece, including keeping the OEM units if you want to retain those.

I have LG's Super Pro headers and full exhaust. Love the sound and performance. I get comments all the time on how great the car sounds. Had the headers ceramic coated and the shop that did that said they were one of the nicest looking and built set that they have coated. Can't wait till I put a cam in and hear the ca_chug ca-chug........
