2010 Camaro Order Checklist

So as I read more and more posts about your factory orders, the more I see that most people really don't know what to ask for when they write their deal.

Since we have a system in place at our store for each order, I thought this might be helpful to keep a checklist. If I've left anything off (not likely), please PM me and I will update my CC (Camaro Checklist).

Buyers Order signed and dated by both you and the dealer.

Buyers order should have all options listed with corresponding RPO and/or LPO.

Price should be clearly listed plus any dealer charges (if any). Any incentives or programs at time of delivery should be noted.

Factory order number should be on corresponding buyer's order.

Copy of GM Order Workbench sheet with 6 digit/letter factory order number initialed by you to verify equipment ordered (should match buyer's order).

Make sure your order carries am SRE order type (sold order).

GM Workbench sheet should have proper and correct spelling of customer name, address and phone number (for price protection).

Ask for name of inventory / sales manager (whoever is responsible for ordering) in case salesperson leaves or is out or is an idiot (lol).

Ask for the dealer's estimated guide number and also, what number Camaro you are in line with respect to all others ordered before you.

We have our preliminary order list with priorities for any Camaro customer who has placed a sold order with us. It is available for any of them to see upon request. You may want to ask if the dealer has the same.

Finally, don't be an a-hole. Establish a relationship with your dealer. I assure you will get much more with honey than vinegar.

That's all for now.

Have fun.

It will also help people with info that they repeatedly ask for here.

Nice list RPO.

This has been asked a couple of times and I haven't seen an answer. Perhaps you can help. What is the difference between an SRE order type and SDC - Sold Order?

Wow! Thanx. That assures me that my dealer did exactly what he was supposed to do.

I'm not sure if he's ordered a car but I have a feeling that he'd order a car from himself if he were to

Hey RPO, any advice for buying out of town? My dealer is 7 hours away, so naturally, signed agreements are hard to obtain. Any thoughts or considerations? Thanks...
