umm im 6'3 and 6'4 with shoes... i have about 2-3 inches of headroom WITH a sunroof ... not really sure what your talking about

and I am on the seriously considering this car... I am a very aggressive yet safe driver and often times I feel the SS just isnt powerful enough...

just to day I had a mini road feud with a porche cayman turbo (obviously its faster and with HUGE tires for traction) and then a corvette GS which was about even ... I also want the manuel and the extra 150 hp + larger tires sounds pretty nice also

.

As of today, 5/17/2011 I am #1 on the list for a ZL1 from Mission Chevy in El Paso (at MSRP.) They are ranked as the 25th highest volume dealer in the US, so that should put me in pretty good shape.

BTW, they said they didn't want any $$ down until the car can be ordered, but I will have the first chance at ordering.

It will be mine, OH YES, it will be mine.

Try a larger dealer, Mondain, or at the very least, stay aware of when the initial ordering date is and be there when they open on the first day. If you're there with a deposit ready to order on the morning of the first day, I bet you will jump ahead of several people. The "list" only holds your place until you can put down your deposit is my expectation.

I'll be there ready to go on the first day of ordering to claim my place on the list.

I am leaning towards getting one. But I can't help but think of a year or 2 old z06 for that price.......

It's going to be a tough call.

If you're going to keep the car for a long time, get the one you love.

Also remember with a car like this, "Used" is synonamous with "Abused."

I know you don't want someone else to have abused your pride and joy, right?
(You should do that yourself. )

I don't think I am going to be able to get a ZL1 on initial release date. Either the dealer wont have any allotment, they will want MSRP or higher, will refuse to honor Supplier Pricing, or a combination of the three.

They say that the ZL1s will be hard to get and they aren't going to produce that many of them. This is why I ordered a Shelby GT500

From all your posts about buy it at the start and worrying about getting ripped off from the dealership because they will charge you above MSRP or at MSRP; LOL!
I tell you to wait 6 month or more until the hype is gone and it is just another car. But you guys will not take the advise so be it! LOL

I understand they will produce as many as are ordered, same as the CTS-V and ZR1. Most dealers understand this too and won't charge markup to well educated buyers.

It'll be limited to as many as they can sell.
