Create a kitty killer
My ZL1, what else will I need to be a Hell Cat killer
This is with a 2.5 upper pulley, long tubes, LS9 cam, cold air and tuned by HPP in Dallas. Is there something to add that makes this thing even more ferocious? I am out of injectors (100% duty) so that will have to be next regardless. Maybe a boost a pump? E85? Please let me know.

You need a set of polished and ported heads along with those injecters.

This is my opinion: you're running a fool's errand. You're trying to mod your car to kill a stock Hellcat. Hellcat owner swaps pulleys and does an intake and bam. You're still chasing.
Just race him where there are curves. No mods needed. If you REALY want to out Hellcat a Hellcat, injectors, port & polish everything, cam swap, bigger blower and so on. It won't be cheap. |

To wit:
http://blog.caranddriver.com/2015-do...car-at-825-hp/ If the motor is, in fact, dynoing above 800hp and is that far underrated, you're in for an uphill climb. |

add the ID850's and then you have some choices. your car is lighter so you don't need much to be right there. If you just want to "kill" it do ported heads and larger cam. on a budget I would throw on the 10% lower and add chiller or hx this is kind of the list you looking at without blower swap or going crazy 1. lower pully 2. porting heads, snout, blower 3. larger cam 4. cooling HX, chiller, water/meth 5. NOS at these power levels traction is paramount if you were to drive around on DR you current power would smash a stock hellcat. I remeber putting the screws to a viper in my Z06 with fresh NT05's on it vs his worn tires. real races don't car as much about dyno's and magazines. myself I don't car about other cars I just set goals for my own car. if you want 10 second slip get that, if you 10.5 get that, 9's???? got for it. don't concern yourself with "one" car.

I'd suggest doing some ID850s and a 10% lower pulley with ATI balancer and possibly even a more aggressive cam. A heat exchanger would also be recommended. I really like the Ron Davis unit.
Feel free to call, PM or email me anytime with questions. Best regards, Tyler 888-308-6007 |

I'm gonna go crazy! Adding an ADM 427 under the Magnuson will put me at 800 hp and 900 tq to the ground. That should do it. Lol. Yes, I know i'm not comparing apples to apples, I love power!!

Question;
If A ZL1 were to add Headers, CAI, tune and crank the SC up to 14psi to match the HellCat what kind of power would the ZL be putting out? The videos out there show the HC auto struggling against a 6 spd ZL so I really don't see how with a bit of a bump the ZL couldn't run one and be close. For the HC to increase it's current power level, from what I understand, its set up is pretty tweaked already and Mopar isn't well known for allowing the aftermarket to tune their ECMs so wouldn't adding pullies and cranking boost up from 14psi be a bit more difficult then people are letting on? And it still doesn't handle
