Michael:

It's 2.3 lbs lighter than stock covers
It's 100% Billet Aluminmum.
It's a bolt on upgrade, everything is included except the GM Gasket.
Gets rid of the Tupperware covers on the engine.
Does not retain heat, vented covers stay cooler.

And they look amazing! IMO.

Great looking. Geez, I'm gonna have a hard time deciding between the wrinkle black or the polished aluminum. Also looks great with the MSD coils - will need to do these too.

The vented ribs release the heat into the atmosphere rather than retaining it inside the motor. The less heat that is trapped under the hood the cooler the engine will run. Like when you remove the plasic tupperware covers.
This as well releases heat that is trapped. As well, Powder coated covers will help to trap / retain the heat inside the engine.

I do not have any hard stats that I can share with you, for now all I can say is that the engine will not retain as much heat as stock when using our covers.

The polished are in stock, but the painting starts this week.

Not gonna create much of a heat difference (at least not even close to enough to matter in any capacity) I hate to tell you..... I've been a mechanic for 17 years, trust me..... I understand different materials absorb heat better than others, but it isn't going to make any difference in this set up. Just be real and let people know it's cosmetic and offers little to no performance advantages.....

I agree somewhat, and I am not claiming any measurable performance gain.
That would be silly. What I would say is that it would be an improvement over the stock setup, and would dissipate the heat quicker, not absorb the heat as you stated, absorb means retain the heat. The covers are lighter, which is a plus, but mainly, after they are installed, they will dramatically improve the appearance of your engine compartment without any real negatives that I can see. Only plus's. Thanks very much for your comments, I really enjoyed this comment.

And just so you know, to dissipate heat is to extract heat. Which different materials will do to some varying degree. Different components of any engine are designed specifically the way they are designed to extract heat or act as "heat sinks". That was my larger point. So unless your covers have "open" vents (which would be silly) then they don't dissipate heat they "absorb" it.
