Question for those who already received their Camaro ...

I was wondering what you all think of the Camaro's standard window tint?

My current old 2000 Honda is white and it had a "not so desirable" greenish tint from the factory. Knowing I didn’t like it too much, my kids surprised me with nice new tint for Father's Day. It contrasted great with the color and was easy on the eyes under that So. Cal. sun!

My new Camaro will be Yellow and my hope is the tint is great out of the box.

Stock Camaros have tint?

Honestly, it's been a while. But, I don't remember any tint on my stock Camaro.

It`s written on all the windows 70% tint

We didn't like the standard tint, too light. Almost got broiled in the passenger seat. We tinted ours to 35% on the sides and 20% on the back window.

So ... it sounds like I need to prepare for tinting.

Anyone know what the legal limit is for SoCal? Back, Sides, Front?

Also, is there anything special I should be looking for to make sure I get the best job possible?

Front can have no tint.

Front sides can have 70%, back sides can have any. Back can have any.

Hmm ... What about that front tint stripe across the top? Isn't that OK? If so, 70% too?

Not sure where you live in California but when I lived there I went to Advantage Glass in Long Beach for tinting on 2 of my cars. They do a great job at a good price with lifetime guarantee. They do all the police cars in the area. If I remember correctly the CA law for tinting was 25% on front driver and passenger windows and anything else for the others.
