I've taken my 2003 GMC Sierra to the limiter, along with my 2000 Mustang GT... The GMC was smooth as ice, firm controlled, quiet... the Mustang felt as shaky as an Apollo launch! but not as fast... My parents Camry handled better than the Mustang even...
I never got my 98 Civic that fast... hardly got to 80... The FJ... never tried, 110 I think, still felt better and safer than the Mustang.

02 Z-28 = 155ish -LS1
69 Chevelle = 145 - 350
82 Honda V-45 = 135ish - V4
81 GMC = 130 -305(80 mph tailwind)
77 Roadrunner = 125 -318
98 GMC ZR2 = 120 -4.3
95 Toycoma = 118 -3.4 v6 - 4th gear, would pull 5th.
86 Mustang = 105 -2.3 (pre 5.0 swap)
79 XR500 = 91 -500cc
etc.etc..
The only ones that felt 'safe' were the Z28 and ZR2
the Tacoma was bouncing like a .... boat? ? ?
The Camaro felt fine at 155, could have done more... ran out of room.
All performed on a closed course...of course.

135 in my 95 z28, had more but I backed off it has 115k miles.

This last year I borrowed a 135 twin turbo bmw while I was in Germany. It had a chip and was supposedly running about 350hp. I got it up to 155 on the autobahn and hit a speed limiter. In the rain. Nice car; If you have the means of picking one up, I highly recommend it.

Funny thing was the only cars that were up to a race were cts Cadillacs and Chrysler 300 srt's. All the euros drive the smallest engine model.

~140 in a '92 Sentra SE-R, 144 in the RX-8 (it's an auto). The former scared the piss out of me, the latter was remarkably comfortable, apart from the noise and watching the fuel gauge draining.

Fastest it's ever felt came while a passenger in an '87 Grand National, doing about 40. The force with which it got there was sufficient to knock the seat recline out of gear, and I went horizontal until the driver let off the gas.

Not that I would ever speed, but if I did, it would have been about 200 km/hr in my 93 jetta. It took me about 5 mins to get to that speed, but I got there. Umm..... theoretically got there. As in I could have <.< ............. >.>

to answer your original question the Camaro is limited at 155mph
trust me, you don't want to ever go faster than that. Especially with those tires.

Don't think I've ever been any faster (in a car) to the best of my knowledge. Amazing, that ticket cost me a $100.00 + 4.00 state sale tax back then!

I could bore you with the rest of the details, but I think this is enough for now!

Of course, my car is setup with lower gears now, restored and mostly trailered to car shows now. I'll never forget that daythough, ever! Not one of the better days..............Year? 1980.
really? In California it's a $900 ticket for going 90 in a 65 now.
