Correct offset for Z06 drag wheels?

I've been looking for some C6 Z06 front wheels to use as drag wheels. I read somewhere that the ideal size is 18x9.5 with a 40mm offset. I have searched around and all I'm finding is Z06 wheels with a 56mm offset. Will these work without spacers? I do not want to run spacers at the drag strip as I feel this is only asking for trouble. I don't mind tying back the brake cable. Does anyone know if the 56mm offset will work without running a spacer or rubbing?

You'll need at least a 53 with 9.5" wheel.
