I so wanna do this but I'm afraid it might be too loud. Just added a CAI and it's made quite a difference sound wise but that is really when you get on it. I want a nice rumble at slow speeds like the 4th gen SS

I think you'll be ok with the muffler delete.

I have a CAI, V8 M6, stock headers, stock cats, stock resonators, muffler delete. You get a nice low rumble. I'm still not satisfied though so I am adding a Vmax ported TB and magnaflow tru-x pipe soon. It should wake things up a bit more.

The biggest thing for me is that I want a nice sound for less money.

Cool, I will at least go and see how much the muffler shop here would charge me to do it.

Just left the muffler shop. Said he would do it for $50. For that price I have to. I can always get em put back on or go with a aftermarket setup if I don't like it. Prolly will get it done Monday.

Which muffler shop did you go to if you don't mind me asking?

Yeah, just keep the mufflers for a rainy day. I did.

Got it done today. Much much better. This is the way it should've been from the factory. Not too loud at all. Sounds great at all speeds.

Thanks guys!
