Just an update since changing my sensor - car has started fine first time with no problems every time - I have tried replicating the issue and as of yet, no problems. So it seems changing the sensor did the trick for me!

Hope this helps others facing the same problems.

so I've been having this problem for a while.

REplaced my starter with an OEM one off of amazon ($100 or so after overnight shipping w/prime membership)

Appears to have solved my problem. Wanted to chime in. Feel free to pm me with any questions

Take a look at the cap (rotten) on the intake manifold?

You have the same fault code I had. Crankshaft position sensor.

As I said, I changed it and that fixed the problem. Try that.

U guys have any other solutions for this issue yet? Been fighting mine for about 2 years, had a new starter, new battery, added a ground strap from the starter to the frame, no luck with anything really. Got a gear reduction starter coming that's built to help with heat resistance. Hoping that'll help.

I actually just got it figured it today. Read a post about a guy who ran a another cable from the battery to his starter so I tried it and went out on a drive and sure enough it fixed my problem too. Made a pretty noticeable difference when starting after I get it warmed up

Bump

I'm having this exact issue... everyone seems to think their solution is what fixed it, but everyone's solution is different! Lol this is one bad gremlin. Any updates or final no kidding solutions for this found yet? My CEL came on after a few times of the labored starts into limp mode. Codes were P0335 and P0151. So I'm going to change out the crank sensor to start...37 dollars. Then my battery because it's 7 years old... so time for that anyways. But I've seen multiple people say this fixed it and then multiple people say it still happens even after changing sensor... battery... plugs... wires... coils... even starter. So what's the REAL issue here... and it's very common from how many people say this happens... Any ideas? Tuning? ECM? Thanks again for everyone's thoughts here.

Hi, I had the same problem. My problem was rust on the negative battery cable bolt in the trunk. After cleaning the rust on the screw and the nut that is welded to the chassis, I put the copper grease on it. After tighten the cable back into the chassis, everything work as should. The problem never comes back again. Good luck.

thank you for the response... definitely gonna give this a try first! The most puzzling thing to me is why is it only when the engine gets hot?
