Dangit this is probably out of my league. Removing the dash the first time for my HUD was a pain. I don't know if I'd be up for it a second time

If this requires removing the dash, that would give me incentive to just replace my '11 dash with the '12/'13 style. But this is potentially looking to be less affordable (cash-flow wise) than just selling my '11 and finding a deal on a '13.

That's what I'll be doing if/when I pull my dash out.

Why is that, does it require the main wiring harness replacement? From what I can tell Ofer and Alex are just using the mains to track down the wires needed.

Also remember that on the 2012 dash you have some access behind the center duct that you didn't quite have on the 2010 dash.

I thought that 2013 is when the majority of the wiring changes were made. The 2013's are the one's that the 4-Pack Gauges and HUD wouldn't work in at first. I think Ofer has that worked out now, but it required new harness's.

I doubt it. I think the 2011 has more common with the 2010 than the 2013.

You'd better make sure that 2013 is an automatic. I've been reading through that Hill Assist thread. Some of those guys are so pissed about that feature that they've traded their '13's off. I think I'd rather not have My-Link than have to put up with Hill Assist.

I'd be very surprised if we don't need to pull the dash out (not complaining), but from the pics it looks like we'll need to.

The GM books are off, there are circuit in the book that are not there in the car, and RPO's that are not on any car to-date, so fare there is not much to add for wires, but 2 we cant seem to find the first is a wire harness going from the A/c face to the back of the radio, the next is a weird USB, that we think can be made, ordered the part today to try and make some up, last is to get the Onstar box that is going to be fun to get.

The weird USB is a video signal connector. Actually I think just need to change the BARE wires from the X1 radio connector, add two wire from the new X4 connector to the new onstar and one date wire to BCM. From onstar. a new coax and new wires from radio to the a/c face.
