Question about struts

I failed PA inspection because my front right strut is leaking so it needs to be replaced. I know you should replace them in pairs so my question is this... My car is a 2011 with a little over 80500 miles on it. Should I just go ahead and replace all 4 of them instead of just the fronts? I'm buying some Monroes off Rock Auto for half of what it'd cost me to buy ones from Auto Zone so I can pretty much do the entire car for the price of having just done the front if I bought them at Auto Zone. What would you all recommend?

Also, this is the cart for my Rock Auto purchase, do I have everything I need? Do I need to buy new bellows for them or can I reuse the old ones?

Well, I went to the Monroe site and the part #s match up and so does the list of items I need. I'm still curious if I need a new bellow/boot though and if I should just go ahead and do all 4 or just stick to doing the fronts.

Ok thanks. Rock Auto prices are dirt cheap and I have to do my front right hub assembly and front rotors/brakes so I'm already spending a bit. I guess I will hold off until I need to do the rears. There is a promo for Monroe going on but it isn't worth spending money to save money right now. If I didn't have all this other work I'd probably just do all 4. Thanks.

If you can do KYB's. I have a set on one of my cars, the excel-G/GR-2 series shocks and struts have a lifetime warranty. I already had a passenger front leak and it got replaced for free exchange, as long as you keep the receipt on hand.

My brother has a set of Koni Oranges he just took off for coilovers, i'm sure he'd sell them for a good price.

The tire setup he was running in the front rubbed on them, but if you have stock size tires they will work fine. They were only on the car one-week.

PM forum member Moonchopper if you're interested.

I suggest doing all 4. Shocks/struts are only meant to go 40-60k miles before they start losing their damping.

Best regards,

Yeah that should be the sale price, mine were 405 with 25% off.

I think you should be fine with that wheel tire combo and the Koni's, 20x9 +40mm tires and 275/40s don't fit with the Koni Oranges, but since you have +23 20x10s I think you'll be fine, you should have the same backspacing I do with a 20x9 and 5mm spacer. It's really tight, but doesn't seem to rub much.
