Oil Life question
I have a 2013 camaro LS and I changed the oil at 4000 miles and put royal purple and .5 quart of Lucas oil stabilizer. It is saying I only have 6% oil life left but I only have 6000 miles on my car now. I guess my question is does the oil life not reset of its own or do you have to reset it yourself through your menu after each oil change?

Welcome to Camaro5!! Needs to be manually reset... once the oil life is displayed press and hold the reset button.

This! The oil life on the DIC is only an algorithm based on your driving habbits and other items, it doesn't really measure your oil.

as far as the oil life meter goes, yea it has to be manualy reset. i never go by it though. i try and change mine every 3000 miles...royal purple goes in and comes out still purple. i love it. |

That's what's in mine right now with an ac delco filter. Do you use the k&n filter? And whichever filter you use where do you get it? And have you ever considered redline oil?
