As of tonight 11-2-12 I rewired and relocated the passenger side. Wanted to start there because its the harder side. Still need to rework the EVAP garbage and the valve cover vent. Then I'll move to the drivers side.
I put the passenger side coils on the outside of the fuse box and moved the connectors that were there to under the fuse box. Also ran the coils pack harness under there.

Also I have temporarily removed my catch can out of laziness. It'll go back on when I finish the drivers side. But it caught about 1 oz in 5k miles. Pure oil, no fuel smell. So my home kit has done great. My clear sight glasses show no oil coming out, only some yellowish fuel/vapor residue in the outlet sides sight glass. I had an inlet side sight glass also so I could ensure it was working, they will both be history.

11-3-12

Got some done this afternoon.

Passenger side coil reroute done (80%).

The cool location is temporary, I plan on moving them when I get a S/C.

As it sits. Tomorrow I may reroute the positive terminal.

Still have a 2012 HUD kit, afterburner tail lights, e cut outs, and much more in boxes. I need more time.

11-4-12
LED reverse lights installed.

11-5-12
HUD install complete.

Next wave of mods are on the way. This effort will be focused on cleaning up the engine bay. I'd like to thank all they guys putting in hard work in the "Cleaning the clutter from your engine bay" thread.

While I'm out of town I'm ordering and planning.

Plans as of today:
1. Reroute heater hoses. I have already ordered the hoses but I'm now considering bypassing the heater core entirely as its a fair weather car.
2. Coil pack relocation. Putting them on the frame up near the radiator or on the fender wells. Parts ordered already.
3. Valve cover modification.* I plan on smoothing the OEM valve covers over, filling any holes, and painting them red or black with some reverse color 6.2L decals.
4. Relocate my catch can and see how it's done over 5k miles (most of which was Houston to Indy for c5f). I may also paint it and put a decal of some kind on it.
5. Fuel delivery. I have already purchased a fore innovations dual pump fuel hat with a pair of 405s (for when I go FI). I'm going to install it and put on some new fuel rails that look cleaner and some fat fuel lines with red connectors.
6. Dye the stitching on all of the interior red. This may be done when I get home, GF may do it for me.
7. Install e-cutouts on my cat blanks. Hiding the switch somewhere.
8. Install my IR remote for the halos, it was a mistake not doing it when I did the install. I was just so ready to be done that I skipped that simple step.
9. Install SS logo on center of grill. Parts ordered.

That's about it for now. Hope to get it all done by Nov 10. Will update with photos as I go.

* I'm blown away by the cost of valve covers. Especially the noncnc units that are just bent and welded. I refuse to spend that much on something so basic as 5 or 6 lbs of sheet metal and a few feet of weld. I could see $600-$800 for CNC parts, because it starts with a solid block of aluminum. But I just want some classic looking smooth rounded shape covers.

Forgot to update on the CF hood.
CF inner and outer. Also has a slightly higher cowl than stock.
Black bowties also seen, they are aluminum. Did front and rear.
'68 is my GF's dad's. Fully restored with a ramjet 350 for reliability (because he only starts it once a year).

Edit: I was mistaken on the year of the old maro.

It is! Just asked. I thought 69 was the only year with headlight covers. But he had it done how he wanted it, SS decals, headlight covers, ramjet, etc.

And the rain is going to stop me from finishing today. I'll have a 50% cleaner engine bay for a bit.
