Camaro in transit... wrong interior!

Well... after waiting 13 weeks, my salesman called last night to tell me my Camaro will be here next Monday or Tuesday.

The bad news is, he said the order got input with black interior, and I had ordered gray.

I know some people will say the black looks better with white paint, but it's not what I want, and I'm probably not going to take it. (At over $40K out the door, I want what I want!!) It was going to be a weekend car anyway, so I'll just re-order.

So, if anyone is interested in the car, you can ask here or PM me for more info. The car will be in Dallas.

Summit White 2SS, RS, auto trans, sunroof, and black leather; I didn't ask, but it probably has the backup sensors too.

tell the dealer that you take the car and they need to order
you the gray leather and install it when it gets in.

Sorry you got the wrong interior. Dealer error when inputting the order? Lesson for everyone ordering a car....check and re-check your order when placing it, and walk out with a printout of what you ordered to make sure everything is correct!!

someone at that dealer needs a good a$$whoppin' and if they don't make it RIGHT by gving you a good Discount on the next order, since it was THEIR fault that you are not driving your new car NOW, I would be looking for another dealer to buy from.

OR as C4 mentioned, they could do that easly, the only difference would be the seats and maybe the door panel inserts/dash trim.

i believe that vara chevy here in SA
has a summit white but couldnt tell the interior
you can all them and tell them to give u a discount
210-924-2000. i got a call from them because i was
going to sell my Victory Red for the Summit White one.

Strange thing is, I originally ordered Victory Red with the grey leather, and I have the order showing it as ordered that way.

A week later I found out that Summit White was available, so I called the salesman and he said he could make the change easily, all he had to do was change the red to white!

He admits something happened but doesn't know what.

The grey interior also has grey carpet, but the bigger issue is knowing that half of the interior was taken apart, and there's a chance of loose fasteners, gouged leather, scratch surfaces, and future rattles, that dissuade me from letting them swap the interior out.

I'm going to take a look at the car, but I'm already down on it. If they don't offer to appease me with a good deal on a replacement order, I'm already in touch with one of the Camaro5 approved salespeople.

I agree with that logic.Too many things can happen with an interior swap out.

Yep. Let it go and re-order. Make the salesman GIVE YOU the bench work order papers (whatever they are called) showing you all the codes entered for the car....colors, style, engine, tranny, sunroof, etc.
