9) Release date for Summit White

10) Final outcome of the Ambient Lighting - To be on the doors only

I am pretty sure that the Hurst STS is dealer installed. Did you mean LPO so they show on the sticker?

9) Will the trunk have the wire coming out through the opening or will it be like the IVERs going through it's own hole like it should?

10) Is ambient lighting going to be included in the 2LT/2SS?

and to answer #3... February 6th is the first consensus. That would be a good date to have your order shored up by if you're in the first few at your dealer.

In other cars. It's obvious that this isn't going to change so why ask?

You may be right, Pete. But the seventeen page Initial Ordering Workbook says on page 13, "Some of the available dealer-ordered LPOs are listed below with their respective RPO codes."

At the bottom right of that same page is:

"Hurst Short Throw Shifter (RPO Code VYV)
Be sure to give your manual Camaro an improved
performance and feel with this iconic accessory."

So it appears further clarification is definitely needed.

I hear you, but if you look in the complete order code guide, under VYV it is listed as an LPO item in the description. In fact, all the items that are dealer installed LPO also have an RPO code. I am pretty sure the Hurst is only dealer installed (even though you would think it would be simpler to install at the factory).

Yes, I see what you mean. It is a "Free Flow RPO Code" which is really an LPO code. It's a regular production line item that is never installed on the production line!?!?

And so, we get to have our brand new car torn apart, and the brand new factory shifter, or mufflers, etc. ripped out and the performance ones installed. I fail to see the logic from a buyer's perspective.

I hear you. I would really like to see a few of the accessories as factory installed options (like the headers, the catback and the STS). They have to put one on the car any way so why not put the one I ultimately want on there from the beginning? I am sure there is a good reason and probably has something to do with standard installation practices versus specialized one for a few of the items. I am fine with it, but would just like to understand the reasoning.

In the electronics section of the store of your choice. Same features, 1/10th the cost. Moving on...

My question - will performance accessories like the CAI and shorty headers be available for the V6? If this has been answered elsewhere, please disregard.

The 2009 GMPP catalog shows the following available for the V6 engine:
Exhaust Upgrade Kit - 92206990
Air Box Kit - 92212304
Hurst Short-Throw Shifter - 92214389

Only the Shorty Headers are not available for the V6, and since it's a 2009 catalog, I think it's safe to say they won't be for some time to come.
