Were getting there. I just installed the new Phadt racing engine mounts (very nice)
I welded up a new exhaust to exite the right side of the car only. ABS and stability control are the next hurdles. Sorry for not keeping up on the updates. Things have been really busy around the shop.

How often should the car be driven if I store it? So the rotors don't warp?

Would every 2 weeks be ok???

I still might not get a beater and get snows, it all depends on storage, etc.
The rotors won't warp from not driving it. They warp from getting too hot. If you store it I would look into AmsOil synthetic. A friend of mine did a ton of research on oil for our motorcycles because they are stored for long periods. It looked like the AmsOil coated the best. I am no expert, so ask more questions, and there may be others with more info. my 2 cents.

Taller is always better in the snow. I read alot of people with BMW's drive year round with snow tires and have no problems. The Camaro SS should be like a 135i in the snow. Powerful RWD car.

I will check them out. Thanks again
I have a set of 245's on my 3-series BMW for the snow. They cut through very well. Higher sidewall as well, so they are much taller than what I normally ride on.

They also have an aggressive pattern for the snow (more like a truck tire), so there is plenty of grip.

Just my 2 cents.

I was told that the corvette c5 zo6 rims fit perfect I am not 100% sure but I am going to test one one when I get my car back from the body shop and I will let you know. Here is a good link to a website that sells replicas for about $450 for all 4 rims http://www.wheelreplicas.com/z06.html

19's will fit for sure; I have 19 x 9.5 rims and 275/40-19 tires all the way around and they work beautifully.

Any ideas?
I would use the $ that your we going to use on the new tires and wheels and buy a beater to drive in the snow and what not, the winter driving will destroy that beautiful car really quick and oxidize that aluminum block as well, I live in AZ and that is why my 91 RS w/ L99 swap still looks new cause it has never seen snow and rarely even sees rain, Please, buy the beater, you wont regret it, so what if some chick see's you in it, you know whats at home in the garage or under the cover, and you only use it when it snows or there is still leftover slush on street, that stuff kills your bushings, bearings, exaust, man its like acid, I drove my brand new F-350 through 1 snow storm on a road trip and it totally rusted out my whole exaust, I was so pissed, 1 time is all it took, just think of what 1 season would do to that machine, don't do it, it will love you for it next spring, get an old 91-92 accord to winter drive, they last for ever and no headaches or being left on side of road.
My $.02

18's will fit. I just got a set of 18X8's with 225/60/18 Goodyear eagle ultra grips for winter from tire rack and they actually clear the brakes a bit better than the stock 16's on my 99 z28 do.

Unfortunately the wheels I bought were closeouts and Tire rack no longer has them on their site but they do have plenty of others that they say will fit.

They were a closeout so I got them fo $109 each (regularly 300 something). They don't have them listed on the website any more so they must have sold out of them. The still list a bunch of others starting at $138 though.
