Im saying it will happen as there is way too much interest and the Ford drag car has been a huge hit. I cant see why Chevy wouldnt offer it as there is so much performance focus on all the camaro models, why not compete with Ford at the track.

I dont think so, there are more and more fast camaro's popping up lately! I think the stang is just so easy to make fast, its the same old setup they been using for how long. The camaro takes some thought, we have to deal with setting up the IRS, big brakes ect. Once the car has been out long enough and more proven setups... we just might take over

I was told at the booth at SEMA that they already had a part number for the COPO Camaro.

they do and 1st time out it went with two 1/10ths of a second of breaking the record by a Cobra Jet, which isn't bad at all... people talk about the "8 second Cobra Jets"... yeah and they go there with TWO power adders(s/c AND nitrous), the fastest single power adder Stock Eliminator Cobra Jet has the record at 9.37 according to the NHRA, not some mustang forum, lol... the Camaro went 9.50s its 1st day of testing... in other words, once more people get their hands on these cars, they are going to be NASTY

if anyone thinks one of these cars WOULDN'T break into the 8s on two power adders, they are a damn fool
