Post TRACK DAYS: Break & Differencial oil change needed for Lapping?

HI Guys,
This year I'm doing a lot more track days.
Perhaps once every 2 weeks for at least one hour each time.
I'm also planning to go to 3 full day Time Attack, each can be about 2 to 3 hours of track time.
Questions:
1) When do we need to replace the DOT3 break fluid to higher specs one? if so which kind?
2) When do we need to replace the OEM Differencial fluid to GM higher specs one?
3) Anything else needs to be done to the SS for track days? I'm not talking of modifications here, just maintenance et prevention of existing oem parts.

If you have any experiences regarding this subject, please inform me.
Thank you in Advance.
Mik

1) You can use a DOT3 or DOT4 fluid. Change fluid out about as close to the track day as possible. I use Motul, but any high boilling point fluid will do.
2) Change your rear differencial fluid before you track your camaro. And change after every two track day events. I use Amzoil with a additive.
3)I would recommend changing your brake pads to a good high performance pad. Change Brake fluid. Change Differencial fluid. A seatbelt lock is a plus.

Have Fun! It is amazing what these cars will do in stock trim!!!

I agree with the brake fluid change. And you should change your oil after every second track day at a minimum. Not sure that you need to be changing the diff fluid that often, but it can't hurt. If you are going to stay with the stock seats, look into Angel Pads at www.angelwingstech.com. They will give you the lateral support that the stock seats sorely lack.

I believe the change interval on the diff fluid is every 7 hours of race time, I will confirm that and post it up
