Zedder. This is absolutely bs. I have seen your posts on here and youve never trash talked or did anythin out of line. I can't believe someone went to extremes to get you fired. I will send you a pm shortly as I am currently out but I can't comprehend what your going through. Unreal. Especially what the initial cause was for firing you in the first place.
After all what you brought fourth to GM let alone in evidence stating you were not the culprit, you still get this treatment?!
Unbelievable.

For those of you who don't know Zedder, he's been a great member on her for a very long time. Never did anything that would jeopardize his job nor the reputation of GM, truly a great member.
So at this point there is nothin else you can do? Or can you take further steps?
I don't think I would want to go back after that but this is ridiculous

Normally....I keep quiet and "act" like I don't see these type of threads (controversial threads) because I don't want to ruffle feathers or put myself or the site in a position. I like where I'm at...my standing with the community...with GM, etc.

With that being said, the views expressed by me are my views.

I remember when it was first found out what you did for GM way back when and the excitement that it created amongst the members here. There were the nay sayers....."nah, he doesn't work for GM," etc. But, it was exciting to know there was someone here on "the inside." Shoot...EVERYONE felt that way. It stirred up the community and got the excitement going! Talk about "creating enthusiasm!!!" ...and yes, it was read in your posts the enthusiasm that YOU had about your job and the work that you did. I can honestly say that you came off as one of those who took pride in your work.

I'm sorry. I'm sorry this happened to you. I know you are a good hearted individual and that you were someone who enjoyed what you did...you could read it in your posts. I just wish that there was something more that could be done.

:(

I wish nothing but the best for you and your family.

Doug

Sucks all that happened. I am really surprised the union didn't protect you. Good Luck!

That's terrible. Sorry for your ordeal.

I always say that I'm loyal to people that are good to work with...companies now days have no loyalty to people. There is no gold watch anymore.

If I were to see this post and judge you, I would find that you probably did not get along well with others at work and were somewhat confrontational. You really should NOT have used a public forum to 'vent'. It's what we call burning bridges and it NEVER works out in our favor.

What you should have done was contacted GM's whistle blower hotline and reported those that failed to provide you a fair shake. You SHOULD have contact the next senior person and worked with your Union rep to get your side out. I assume by the tone of your message that you held this same tone in your negotiations (and that is what these things are) with GM management. Perhaps had you 'played dumb' to some of the lesser offenses, like the drawing thing, and been a little humble, management might have been more inclined to work out a compromise.

You admit to having a problem with another employee. Perhaps you had problems with more than just one. You claim to know of wrong doing inside GM. Your failure to have reported THIS is grounds enough for termination, so even if you were 100% right for all that you discussed, you are 100% wrong for not reporting an unsafe work environment and drug abuse in the workforce. You have basically admitted that you deserved termination.

I feel for you and wish you the very best. I am confident that you will land a new job and I pray that you can use this past experience as a learning tool. I wish all the best to you and I will pray for the continued health and well being of your family; as I am sure the others out here will do. I also am confident that, if you embrace this learning experience, this will make you a better person and employee and this will all work out for the best in the long run, but dont hold your breath for a job offer back at GM. It probably will not come after this very public bash.

Now I know why my fender was crooked.

It sucks getting fired from a great job. But you have not helped yourself at all with that posting. And you want to get others fired just because you were? That's low no matter what they did.

I have a feeling that someone in here will take this and run with it to whoever wants to hear what's going on , that will be really good if it makes to a small local TV station and then go from there , like 60 minutes , 20/20 . I can see this this way ....A story about hard work no longer is enough in AMERICA !!!

Strange, the thieves, drunks, and dope smokers did not concern you when you were employed.

That's because most of those theives, drunks and dopers would kill you or maim you to keep you quiet. You don't piss off a junkie. And a good handful were relatives of management or had it in good. I was a low level person, who the hells was I.

And no I wasent confrontational at all. I was always in a good mood and willing to help out at the drop of a hat. So much so that, I never rotated off a job for 4 weeks. Even though job rotation is plant rules. The supervisor Couldent be bother having me trained on any other job as he was too busy trying to cover up his numerous daily mistakes.

Therefore I have rotator cuff damage because of it. And yes it did tell management about it. Nothing was done.

I do have another job, not as well paying, but that's hard to come by. I am at th other end of the transportation spectrum. I won't say too much, or what I do as we all know the type of company gm can be. All it takes is 1 lying phone call.

But that said. My new job is great.

Sorry I wasn't trying to make any ruckus in my post. Just a food for thought that zedder's situation is something that others can learn from.

It is a major reason I don't let my coworkers on my facebook unless they are true friends. One or two, despite the fact that I have upwards of 500 that I work with in our office.

I am also pretty careful in what I say about my job when I am on my own time. I know of some management staff that have been unofficially instructed not to associate with 'lesser employees' in public or drink in public because of how it can reflect on the business.

These days, it's more than just watching your back thanks to technology.
