C5 Z06 rim issue

I've got a set of 18" Z06 rims to put drag radials on. The problem is that the center of the rim is larger than the hub on the car. Is there ring or something that I can buy to center up the rim and make it fit snug? Instead of having to rely on the wheel studs to keep it aligned.

Not sure I really understand your question... but I think the answer is no. The lug nuts should center everything up. Hopefully you got the right offset and they clear the brembo brakes. I would test this before mounting tires on them if you're not sure.

Yes, the rings are called "hubcentric rings". Many wheels are made with the hub bore larger than the hub. You can measure the hub bore I.D. on the wheels, and then hub O.D. on your car (should be 66.9mm). On most wheels, the rings aren't needed unless there is a shimmy or vibration problem. But your Corvette replica wheels are probably made to the 5x4.75 bolt pattern, which is actually .65mm larger than the Camaro's 5x120 bolt pattern. So, hubcentric rings is probably a good idea. Get your measurements and then google "hubcentric rings", you might be able to find them pre-made if it is a common size, or you might have to have custom rings made. Good Luck

Ok. The wheels bolt-up and clear the brakes fine. The only thing I was concerned about, was the fact that they aren't perfectly centered until you tighten down the lug nuts. I'll look into getting some hubcentric rings. Thanks for the help.

Curious where you got them and how much you had to pay. I'm in the market for some as well and I'm trying to find the best place to get them.

Do you know if the wheels came off of a C5 or C6 Z06?The reason that I ask is because the Corvette has different size front and rear wheels.

On a C5 Z06 the front wheel is a 17 X 8.5 with a 58mm offset and the rear is an 18 X 9.5 with a 65mm offset.The C6 Z06 has a 18 X 9.5 front wheel with a 40mm offset and a 19 X 12 rear rim with a 59mm offset.The back spacing on the C6 Z06 is 6.82" on the front and 8.82" on the rear.

I'm using the rims off my brothers 02 camaro, he went and bought some HRE rims. So, I'm using them for drag radials.

And they aren't oem wheels, they are aftermarket.

Also, what size drag radial should I run?

You'll need the 18x9.5 with the 40mm offset.
