The intake on the challenger is just wrong. It's sucking air from right ontop of the engine. That's got to be the hottest part of the engine bay. Sometimes I don't understand why procharger does this with their intakes. They did the same thing for the G8.

I agree. Pro Charger has a company making a cowl induction hood for the G8 right now.

I'm sure they'll do the same for the Camaro - nice cool air, pumping up the power, plus the blower.

I don't want every Vette blowing my doors off, but $6000-7000 for the Pro Charger is steep for me, plus the hood.

I've run prochargers (race only), roots style (street car), and turbos (race only and street). And as was stated earlier, each setup has its own pluses and minuses. But turbos rule for max power and for being "easy" on internals.

Honestly IMO, if I bought that Challenger I would want the filter there... I'd find a shaker hood setup and tube to through the shaker... Whew that would be seriously bad-ass... It's like it was meant to have a shaker set-up LOL... But I can see what you mean with hot air and the like, with it's placement with a functional hood scoop though that would take car of everything... But shaker??? Nasty gains with that set-up TRUE RAM AIR...

I am going to try and get a group purchase going ( I own a parts company). I am going to see if ATI will give us a good deal on the new system when released, if we can get 10-15 orders or so.

So I want to know who might be interested in getting in on a group purchase to get us all a great deal on a supercharger for these bad a$$ new cars. I would be willing to look into any other group purchases if you have ideas. Just post and let me know what you are looking for....

I am not on here to sell anything for my store, or to turn any profit whatsoever, I just thought we could get a group of enthusiasts together and try to save eachother some money!!!

What do you all think??
im the first on my list and yes i plan on supercharging. pm me if you get any leads on deals from companys

Yepper. Nothing like cold air. They are making a cowl-induction hood to work with the procharger G8, and the Camaro won't be far behind.

Spoke to Callaway the other day...

They have an LS3 kit for the Vette so I figured I would call.

They might have to change some intake mods and programming along with some other bits. The biggest concern I have is that the sales/tech rep said it might not fit under the stock hood.

Might have to contend with a 'bulge' like this....

Starting with GM`s new 6.2 liter LS3 engine, an Eaton/Magnuson Roots-style supercharger elevates the car`s output to 580horsepower and 510 lb-ft of torque with an estimated maximum velocity of 200mph. Other Callaway components include an air/liquid intercooler, upgraded fuel system with high flow injectors, Callaway "Honker" cold air intake and a custom computer tune.

That's an older Eaton too, so the new TVS blowers would probably make even more power

Good find!

My total budget is 20k - think I will have enough
for supercharger kit plus wheels, plus suspension
And installation?
