HUD + COLOR UPCHARGES

FYI...Love the HUD in my Corvette, would have it in anything I could!!

ALSO, Retired Paint Dealer here...Pigment costs drive the price up more than metallics. Clear Synthetic Pigments, especially Reds and Yellows (and colors produced using with them) cost several times more than others. Blues, Greens and White are mid range in cost... Black and Earthen Oxides, Red Oxide, Umbers etc, are the least expensive. Automotive paints are expensive to start, Bright Clear Yellows & Reds can reach a few hundred dollars per gallon.

Pricing is usually released on paper, then follows in autobook & Gm global connect (a dealer GM site) 2-3 weeks later....So HERE you have the pricing (except for GM Preferred and dealer invoice ) but for "quoting" purposes, dealers have to do it the good old fashioned way by ways of a calculator....

As far as other colors.....were you thinking of a medium blue, say Navy Blue Metallic like on the new Equinox's???

He is especially emphasizing that the Hurst short thow shifter is not available right now and doesn't know if it will be. Can anyone throw some light on the situation? Thanks!
There is a section in GM Global Connect (a dealer access site) that CONTAINS pricing on GM Cars & trucks. Now "Joe Average" salesman may not have access to the pricing portion of this site, but SOMEONE at the dealership does.

The Hurst shifter is on constraint as well as the spare tire:

2011 Camaro 19-Jul-10 356 &KAE Trans Shifter Sport (HURST) 0% L GREATER Than 4 Weeks Pending Engineering Validation 6-May-10

2011 Camaro 19-Jul-10 373 &N65 Compact Spare Tire 25% L GREATER Than 4 Weeks Supplier Restriction 6-May-10

Paint Cost Perspective

Just a Random Tidbit and a little off topic...putting Paint Costs in Perspective

We fuss when we pay $20+ per gallon for house paints (the really good products are $30+, and WORTH IT)...and we expect several years of service out of them.

Automotive Finishes can be several $100's per gallon...and we expect a lifetime of service.

Finger Nail Polish...similar to Auto Finishes...at $8 per 0.5oz (last I asked my wife) = $2000.00+ per gallon...and the ladies are happy to get a week out of them !!

Moral...Buy Stock in Cosmetics not Paint Manufacturers

So is the Connectivity-convienence option still standard on 2LT and 2SS like it was on the 2010?..you know with the USB port

It is now listed as an option package?
