Thanks Garth. LPE must be seeing these types of failures too. I agree...stroker it is!!!

I haven't heard of any failures, they just said that's what they've used for their performance builds all along.

Decided to go 418 stroker. Ordering parts tomorrow! Need to hurry so I don't miss any of the spring events this year!

Wow! they are proud of that clutch!!! Hopefully my spec will last awhile. I'd rather take that $3200 and put it toward the RPM tranny you're running. Like you I'm hoping that's a long way off...

RPM tranny is great.... but the weak link is the hydraulic system . I'd suggest adding the Tick Performance bleed line while the engine is out....... extremly cheap insurance for getting a perfect clutch bleed.

RPS does have a double carbon clutch..... not exactly sure how it compares, but I've heard good things. Gotta wonder what flywheels it's compatible with. I'd prefer something that I didn't have to reinsert the tranny 3-4 times to get the spacing correct though.

RPS triple carbon on both my TT C6 and my Z06... Up to this point and from all the reviews its the best clutch you can get. Driveability is great. Only 10-20% stiffer than a stock clutch which is GREAT....

Good feedback.... All I've heard is good things - other than the price. But then the price may be cheap if the alternative is 2 clutches and tranny pulls.

Plugging along. Just been really busy for the most part. Still have Harry but hopefull that deal in the works.

Joe, good decision on the stroker. It will be interesting to see what really happens to the power. gain some with displacement lose some from less boost. But Torque will blow thru the roof and that is the fun part of driving anyway.

Garth....good suggestion about the tranny and rear end for sure.

Man...I'm dying to get my car tuned by Clint - but it keeps snowing!!!!!!! AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! I just got rid of all the ice and everything at the bottom of the driveway, and it's all covered with snow again this morning! Oh well...I guess God is looking out for all the folks that make a living from snow! They are all like... I just wanna drive my sweet Sherry again without getting her all gunked up from mag-chloride and gravel.

Rps clutch is very nice. FYI joe, ur stage 4 spec looks nearly brand new with little to no signs of unusual wear, also no hot spots on the flywheel. If you decide to keep the spec it should last you a long time.

Garth. Learned alot about oil in the last month than I have in the last 10 years. Basic rule of thumb to follow without going into alot of detail. As Horsepower, load and rpms increase its important to run oil that will have an extended heat and visicoty range, for extra protection. Always important to talk to the engine builder on what oils to run. I understand fully why ligenfilter uses 20w50.

Ace ! Yes looking forward to tuning the car. Yep there's some high Hp cars and crazy builds out there ! With the new build on joes car were most likely going to run the 3" pulley vs the 2.7" blower pulley. This will extend our Hp and tq higher in the rpms, currently cannot rev higher than 6400 rpm or we over spin the blower. With the 3" pulley we can spin to 7,000 if we need too, and power should pick up from the new combo from 4000 to 6500 rpm shift points. Also will help combat intake heat by slowing down the blower a little, last but not least any Hp or tq we lost by turning down the blower should be picked back up by the stroker.

Excited !!
