1992 Chevrolet S10 restoration project with 2013 Camaro SS Wheels

My mother passed away a couple of years ago, and I inherited her truck. The truck was actually my grandfather's truck and it only has 58K miles on it. But, as you can see from the pics, it wasn't well maintained. So, in memory of my mother, I decided to restore it as much as possible. I began with a new paint job and spray-in bedliner. Then, since I had my factory camaro wheels laying around, I decided to see if I could make them fit. Indeed they did. A set of 1 1/4" wheel spacers and I was in business. Next, an LS motor perhaps?

Looks great! I love that body style. I had a couple of 92's, a 93, several 80's and even a diesel.

I love the body style too. I had a 97, but didn't like it as much as this one. It didn't feel as sturdy or as well-built.

My first car was an '86 S-10 Blazer...same body style. I loved that vehicle. Some lady pulled out in front of me and totaled it.

I miss that car

But, if you need any other restoration parts for the interior, LMCTruck has a LOT of stuff for these body style trucks

Great looking truck, love the color you chose!

I (Bill) like this thread, because my dad and I are building a street/strip S10 right now. It is a 91 short bed regular cab 2wd from Tennessee (since we are in Michigan this means we got a 91 with no rust which is hard to find here). We are currently doing a frame off build on it, and we are putting in a 5.3 LS motor with full bolt ons, a big cam, and a 3 stage Nitrous kit. Entire suspension is getting set-up for the car to hook up and it has a 8.8 ford rear which we are narrowing. If any of you S10 fans are interested, here is the build thread on a S10 forum I am a member on (we still have LONG way to go!): http://www.s10v8.com/showthread.php?t=1073782048

Sorry to hear that about yours. Thanks for the info about the parts!

Now that's awesome! I'm thinking about putting a 5.3 LS motor in this one too. I'm definitely following your build.
