Lethal Performance 2018 went 12.20@116 on drag radials on Dec 9th. No track rental no crazy DA....like Carlye and Beefcake.

Mustang still going to be a good ~2 tenths slower in the real world which is expected. Still really good for a mustang. But if the 2019 camero gets an hp bump.... oops

Real world the coyote owners have cried and bxtched since the 6th gen came out running the times they have. Constantly trying to compare bolt on times to stock times.

Now the 18 comes out and they are acting like its 2 seconds faster stock with 2 flats running on 3 cylinders.

Then people talk real talk because lets face it they are shops at track rentals running times the average joe has in his 6th gen but the 18 is amazing and the 6th gen is a flop.

Freaking out? Who says we're freaking out? It's a discussion. I still think the hero run is BS. And in the real world once they are tested we'll see. We over here have nothing to worry about. The Mustang guys have to worry because if that thing, after all the shit they're talking, STILL can't beat the SS in at least a straight line then they'll be crying like you've never seen before.

Even if the Mustang does a 12.2 in a H2H...giving them a 12.2 that is. It'll be like a 21 year old getting his high school diploma. I mean, congrats and good for you but you're a bit old to be getting your diploma and everyone else did it 3 years ago. LOL! And they're still a long way off from being able to touch the ZL1, ZL1 1LE, and Z06. By the time the GT500 comes around we'll be bored with that level of performance. And the ones doing all the hootin and hollerin won't be able to afford an 18 GT or a GT500 anyway, lol!!

So Chevy was finally able to get an auto equipped SS to run 12:30s, and a manual equipped version to run 12:40s in MT 2016 reveiw. MT got the manual Boss 5.0 to run 12:30s in 2012. Granted it is the Boss version but it is still a 5.0 with no torque

For regular DD driving it is plenty enough, for track use, strip yes more would desirable. If it would not have been for the crappy weather we have here 8 months of the year I would have been interested in more "exotic" cars.

To start, you're comparing cars that were almost 5 years apart. Secondly, it's hilarious you bring up the 2012 Boss....because the guys at MT couldn't get the 2016 GT PP to even come close to 12.3....despite the car having roughly the same power/more torque

I agree that as a daily driver, the SS or new GT is plenty fast. I broke my rear loose at 70 mph last week with -2600 DA!

Its a really fun car to drive everywhere and I do need to use caution. Its just enough to remain interesting
