Going that low you need coil overs

What he said.
I have the BMR 1.4" lowering springs on all 4 corners. Definitely as low as you'd want to go. Impressed with the ride quality actually considering the size of the drop.

Springs are a cheap way to do it....Do it right and get Pedders Coil Overs...None better! You want Walmart or Gucci?

Coilovers to go that low, more than an 1" and you will have struts that blow out and leak. I work for the largest Chevy dealer on the west coast and I rarely see a leaking shock or strut with a 1" spring but I get them all the time on the 1.25 or greater springs.
I will only install up to a 1" spring here, clients that want lower I recomend coilovers or to another shop since I will not be able to warranty the struts if they go lower.
