what are gm points?

I'll talk to the dealer this weekend. I figure since I bought in December of 2012, no dice. It won't hurt to ask though.
I looked online for points and when I was buying, it told me points were only good for 2013 model year, I do not have bunch anyway.
GM points are cashback you earn when using the GM credit card. As long as you use them for a GM vehicle that is.

I feel your pain. I bought my SS a month and a half ago and today I got a $1,000 private offer. It figures.

When you use the GM credit card they give you points towards money off a new GM car from the purchases you make with the card. I believe you can have up to 2K in points before you can't gain anymore. About once a year near the end of the year they normally top off your earnings to 2K a d give you the special offers also.

Talk to your dealer. If he does not want to help call GM. I did and got satisfaction last year for the same type of thing.

Bought my 2011 IBM 1ss/rs in june 2010. 3 days later in the mail got notice I could get $1000 GM discounton a new vehicle. Called GM.and told them I just bought 2011 Camaro 3 day earlier. They told me talk too dealer and if he would honor it to fill out necessary papers. Send them in and they would send me a check for the $1,000. 2 weeks later they sent check to dealer in my name.He called me too come pick-up the check. On top of that I get employee discount For hauling there car,and I didn't work for them.

No actual complaints. The dealer called their GM rep. Rep said no problem as long as GM card is willing. Just heard back from GM card, they are not willing... Oh well, mods will just take a little longer.
