MAYBE in 2011 but LS3/L99 5th gens are seriously out numbered right now. At least in South East Houston.

Not an accurate comparison, though I do realize that they requested a Boss for the test. Ford made a big mistake in not providing them with one.
How is it skewed? The 1LE is an option on the SS. The Track Pack in an option on the GT. The comparison was between the base V8s with their respective track option.

I know I'm not the only one that laughs every time you say a "bolt-on" L99 is a low 11 second car.

I'm guessing you don't have a clue what they run huh, I can back up what I say sir. So far the fastest bolt on L99 is 11.44 thats TRW427SS 2nd is Camarojt do a quick search on here. Stock cam stock heads just your average bolt on car in the hands of people who know what it takes to get there. Look at the top on this camaro5 list https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/...HZ1hobnc#gid=0

I hate that..!

(that's the only stang that can normally beat an ss right? Obviously anything above as well)

The older GTs can't win right? (stock for stock)
Ls3 camaro vs 5.0 mustang could go either way too close to give one an advantage.

Are you serious? Please tell me how you're an authority on what the track pack does. Have you tracked a GT? Because I have, multiple times. They add some coolers on, and leave the under sprung and under shocked Brembo package springs and shocks with the crap ass 255 Pirellis on there. Track pack doesn't do anything for increasing the performance over a regular Brembo GT.

And when they don't know what they're doing, this is what happenes

2011 GT with canned Ford Racing tune and GT500 mufflers. 2011 SS had tune, long tubes + full exhaust, intake, 3000 stall, and springs according to the driver.

It goes both ways a nice setup on a 5.0 its crazy fast and for a 5th gen you need a good driver the right mods and tuner and your in the mid low 11s. If Cody6.2L thinks I'm bull shitting he must fall in that bad driver class :/

Point being that it laughable that you keep saying "bolt-on" like it's shadetree mechanic stuff. To most people a 4000rpm stall converter isn't a bolt-on even if it's a simple mod for some people. In any case talking about L99's running low 11's with those mods in a Mustang thread is silly in general. Given I don't like either the Camaro or Mustang in automatic form the 5.0 mod for mod will decimate the L99.
