As we all know Cali is a hater on emission control. Has any one had any issues with smog or the cops giving them issues on loudness with headers and exhaust?

I know lots of people with modded cars in CA. Out of those I only know a couple that have had issues. The risk is gonna be there though. Pay to play sorta thing.

When smog time comes you'll have to put your stock stuff back on.

As my tuners says, " there are a lot of folks in CA. just trying to put a little food on the table. While it may cost an extra $100 or so, you can get a pass. Almost, no matter what. I. of course, have never done that.

I've had long tubes and a cam for about 4 months now in a cop crazed town with no problems at all

You're in the Bay Area? Moving to Sunnyvale soon. Can help me out and PM how you get the car to pass the visual? I am in the process of getting all the stock stuff but would rather not put it all on....

Doesn't hurt to try your luck… Sometimes the inspectors happen to be fans of the car and turn a blind eye.

My Friend..... had one hater! But he was also running LT's without cats and SLP loud month's. If you have a nice exhaust and or a resonated X pipe and are running HF'S you will have no issues. Since then my friend.... added HF'S and hasn't had any issues. He recently got pulled over twice. And neither for exhaust noise. Hope this helps.

I found that if i am driving in a urban area after midnight that LEO are less of a fan of cars. I stopped driving the car that late and stopped getting noise tickets.

Just keep mufflers on and you should be fine as far as noise complaints.

as for smog, well, it has been said over and over. unless you can pay your way through, know someone, or go back to stock, it wont pass w/ LT's.
