Why Did You Buy Your ZL1?

Did you purchase your ZL1 as a daily driver or as a 2nd car....

I bough my ZL1 as a 2nd car. We have 6mo of snow free weather a year. I live in the mountains and plan on driving on local roads and taking part in some HPDE days with my club at Watkins Glen. Other than that it will be stored in my garage under a cover. It won't see snow or rain. Planning on using it less than 1000mi per year. I need it to feel special. Drive it to much and it loses that specialness.

I bought mine as a toy and have a 2017 tundra platinum crew max as my daily driver, but since I bought it, I've driven it almost every day and out 1500 miles on in 1 1/2 months lol. It still feels very special!!! I'm thinking about 7 to 8 thousand miles a year and in 10 years it's still under 80,000 miles. I was going to get a vette and changed my mind because of comfort and also the rarity of the ZL1. I don't regret my decision at all. The car is absolutely awesome and very comfy

Because of the LT4 and the new chassis it is built on.

I live in a tourist town and my work is two miles from where I live and everything you need is about 4 miles in any direction lol. So unless I road trip from time to time it would not see 1K a year. Plus its not my DD especially in the summer months. To many freaking tourist not sure where they are going and just cut across 3 lanes every day

DD, 18-20k a year. I buy cars to mod then, drive them, and enjoy!

GOT JOKES!

I live in Tampa. We had the highest concentration of boosted Coyotes in the nation, and most of the fastest.

Just became tired of being a "Me too" machine.

Secondary vehicle, it won't see rain (if I can help it), definitely not snow!
Maybe 1500 per year.

I bought it because I loved the write up's about the car before it came out. I work for a big new car dealership chain in the Tampa area. 28 Years!!! I have a company car but at home I have the ZL1, a 13' ZR1 60th anniversary, and a 52' C3100 pick up resto rod with a LS6/4l60e, cam, ect, ect. I just bounce around and drive them all often. I have to admit though I drive the ZL1 the most. Love this car

Not to jack the thread but curious how you think the ZR1 compares to the 6th ZL1? The ZR1 is no doubt faster, especially in a straight line. The LS9 is also superior for modding and the carbon ceramics on the ZR1 are also awesome. Only thing that comes to mind for me would be the interior, in which the ZL1 will have the upper hand. Other than that, is a 4-8 year old Vette better than a current Camaro?
