Ported Throttle Body Suggestions?

I'm looking to get a ported throttle body and need suggestions on what and where to get it. I have an L99 2010 SS.

Ported Throttle Body Suggestions?

What size are you going for? If you want to use your stock throttle I know you can send that out to be ported. I have a Nick Williams 102mm throttle body and works perfectly. I used to have a BBK 102mm throttle body. But I always had trouble with it so took it off and wouldn’t use a BBK throttle body again. I know BBK also makes a 95mm throttle body which is still bigger than stock. You’ll need a bigger intake manifold to use the 102mm throttle body as well. You can check phastek. If you go bigger than stock you’ll most likely need a tune/retune. Not sure about porting the stock throttle body. Hope this helps!

Based on what nearly everyone on here suggests, I would go with Bo White.

I don't have one yet, but that is definitely where I will be getting mine.

The support you will get through Bo would be worth it for me, as he is a frequent forum poster and is VERY knowledgeable. I am not sure you will get that kind of support/access with a Vmax unit. But I do hear good things about them too.

Thanks for the info! I'm looking to get a tb that can use the stock manifold. I found the 95mm from BBK but saw bad reviews on it (mostly surging issues).

No problem! One of the problems I had with the BBK was surging and also getting cels that came up after clearing it then driving miles later. I suggest getting your stock throttle body ported by Bo white. I’ve heard only good things. I don’t think you would need a tune, but not 100% sure.

It looks like Bo White is the way to go, hopefully there isn't a long waiting list to get one. Also, I noticed you have the Vitesse Throttle Controller listed on your signature. Would you recommend getting one?

I would recommend Bo white or VMAX. Bo seems to have a little better reputation around these parts, but he doesn't (or didn't when I ordered) take core returns. VMAX will give you $150 off if you send your core in. Both seem to have good reviews here on C5 - but that core charge makes VMAX $150 cheaper just sayin

+1 For Bo. And you can still sell your stock TB on here. Sold mine for $120 shipped.

Bo White is good to go, also check out Pray Performance, his porting work is top notch! Can't go wrong with either one, IMHO.

No tune will be needed if you port your oem throttle body. You can do it yourself simply or send it to Bo. You will get better throttle response from porting it.
