NOS or Zex?

I got a guy tellin me he can hook me up with a NOS kit for my v6 at $300 + install.

Phastek has the Zex kit for about $550.

Which is the one I should go with? I am tryin to figure why the Zex kit is more expensive than NOS at almost a $200 difference and wondering if the NOS kit is built just for the Camaro as well or is it something that is ported over from another car and will require customization to install in a Camaro.

do you have a parts list for both? does that NOS kit come with a throttle position sensor? is that how you want to run your kit, or do you want to run with a push button?

I much rather have the TPS than push button.

well, nitrous management unit alone for the zex kit is $250. Not sure if NOS has that or not.

Is that the part they use rather than a fuel solenoid and a nitrous solenoid? If it is, Zex is the only one I know using that setup and I'm not sure it's a positive in my view. I know why they did it, I'd just rather have individual solenoids.
Oh, and I've got the NX kit. I'm pretty sure the NOS kit is everything other than the TPS, and don't let them tell you they can install a TPS on the accelerator pedal. It's a safety feature that keeps the kit from being activated until wide open throttle. You don't want to skimp on it. You can ask him how much extra for the TPS. They aren't that expensive.

I believe the nitrous management system is the TPS for zex.

Pretty sure their tps is around $100, NX also. They can be had for less(around $70).

Checked last night, and the stuff you described is what's missing from the NOS kit.

Thanks man!

So when I looked it up, their TPS, fuel solenoid and nitrous solenoid is contained in a single box? Clean, but it means if one part doesn't work of the three the whole box has to be replaced/removed.
Before you install or have whoever install it make sure you realize there is a Schraeder valve at the back of the engine rather than cutting any of your stock fuel lines. It would make for a cleaner removal of the kit if needed/wanted in the future.
Good luck with the kit.

You mean the jets, when talking about the solenoids, right? If so, then no, the jets are separate. They are placed just outside the intake elbow, about 2" away from the throttle body.

You can see the purple piece in front of the engine cover, that holds the jets.

No, the nozzle holds the jets. The nitrous management unit contains a solenoid or pair of solenoids contained along with the tps unit. My NX kit has each piece seperate. The solenoid opens when you want it to allow fuel or nitrous to flow through the jets/nozzle. The Zex kit does look clean. I don't care for the way they're cutting a fuel line. I also wonder if the TPS or solenoid portion should happen to have issues if the management unit is rebuildable(I've always had separate solenoids).
