5000 mi. original tires still good..but found a rear tire lift issue

I had noticed a noise or something in the rear occaisionaly when pulling sideways into drives with a slight lift .
Pulling in to a slightly steeper grade I heard it again this time I was a passenger so I got out and found that the car is so rigid It actually lifted the passenger rear tire off the ground 2 inches and was just spinning...we actualy just backed the car into the street and went on.
Should the positrack or locker have kicked in.....this grade I'm taking about was really not that much.

This weekend my car was three wheels in the air with one jack. Think about that. I was very, very pleased. Kudos Chevy engineers.

The guys at my Chevy dealer were watching me pull into their Service Department. They all started cracking up when I did the "sideways across driveway break" thing. I just assumed they were laughing at how careful I had to be, but they were laughing because the car lifted one of it's hind legs into the air...

I'd think the TC/Stabilitrak would apply one brake to stop the free wheel from spinning.

I don't remember whether my Torsens would move the car with a wheel in the air. But I do know that with one tire in the air, you can turn the rears in opposite directions by hand.

Soon as my front tire comes off the ground the rear is almost off with it.

The Torsten will want to move the slowest wheel first, so it's hard to move just one wheel. It has to drive the gear set to get a difference.

1LEs do the same thing:

It was unsettling at first, I get a grinding noise when the lifted tire starts to spin.
