License Plate Light Bulb Wires

I noticed the left side of my license plate was not lit up at night so I just pulled out the light housing to see what size bulb it takes to replace. Well, the housing came out and no wiring was attached to it. (The right side is fine.) I bought the car 3 weeks ago used and not sure if the previous owner had messed with it. I tried to stick my finger around to see if I felt the wire and to fish it back through with no success. Is there an easier way grab the wire and feed it back through possibly without taking off the back bumper etc.?

Not sure if this has been answered as I did a search and didn't find anything. I'm also fairly new to this forum. Thanks

Yes. Take off the license plate. There is a hole into the bumper behind it. But taking off the bumper isn't hard, only takes 15 minutes.

Thanks stieger, didn't even think to take off the temporary plate. I just assumed it was all bumper behind it. Will give that a try tonight!
