Whatever the price, dealers are going to burst many bubbles with the markups. Having owned a real 69 z28 and now a 1LE it's nice to see the z28 coming back. Unfortunately now it seems only the 1%ers will be able to afford the car. I want the engine available in the 1LE, that's what I want.

I'm guessing it'll be a 2 to 3K below the Z06.

Was the original z/28 back in the days affordable for those standards? I am kinda freaking out that the Z/28 from this gen on is gona be unattainable if this is the standard now. That would suck bad.

I sort of remember hearing the price on the ZL-1 was originally going to be much higher than what we see. The powers that be wanted it priced much higher according to the bean-counters, but a miracle at the last minute kept the price for the ZL-1 reasonable,...."after all, it's a Chevy" was sort of the theme that prevailed...

Don't think we'll see that "gift" twice....They won't build 4k of them to break even or be nice guys with the Z/28....

Guys were able to come back from serving the county and buying them. They were like $4500 or so and $120 in sales tax. Now your going to pay $65k plus $20k in dealer markups for the next 2 years and here in IL another $7000 plus or more in sales tax at minimum. This is not a middle class persons car like it was way back when, although it's far more advanced that's for sure. I would like to see GM offer the same engine option in the z28 in the SS/1LE. More demand for the engine would help offset the costs of it.

I think it's pretty common knowledge that the Z/28 is the last hurrah for the LS7 engine....It's a GenIV motor that will no longer be seen in a production car after the Z/28's 4K build....

Nope - but we'll see the price is when they announce it.

Taking a "fully" loaded 1969 Z/28 at $5,500. and comparing it to today's cost of living factor of 6.0:1 it would cost less than a 1SS/1LE.

Base price for the Z/28 will start with a 6...

What happens in dealer showrooms, after that, is strictly up to YOU.

...and the more chitter-chatter about $80K+ pricing is just giving "those" dealers more impetus to prove YOU CORRECT!

I'm not saying dealers will charge $80,000. I'm saying I fully expect the MSRP to be around $85,000.

Yeah, that'll work.....just keep hollering 60K for the msrp, and no dealer mark-up...I'm sure they'll run scared and make it a low price, just because it's what they see here....gimme a break...lol...
